Israel’s most famous archaeological marvel – the Dead Sea Scrolls – are Toronto-bound.
The unique antiquity is scheduled to be on display at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) this coming June, for a six-month stint.
Visitors are expected to flock to the museum to see the famous, though tattered fragments, which date back 2000 years.

When Israeli cartoonist Rutu Modan co-founded Actus Tragicus, an Israeli comic book collective in the mid 1990s, her goal was to give herself and the five other cartoonists exposure outside of Israel by publishing a book each year. Prostate cancer is a common cancer among Canadian men, killing over 4,000 people each year. Traditional treatments have always involved surgery or radiation, both with dangerous side effects.
Researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel developed a non-invasive drug called “Tookad” to treat prostate cancer. This Hebrew word means “warmth of light.”
