Canada’s senior team remained undefeated Thursday as they demolished Russia 13-1 in the fifth day of play at the second World Jewish Ice Hockey Championships being held in Metula, Israel.
The Canadians have a perfect 3 wins and no losses record so far in the opening round robin of the five-team senior tournament, defeating host Israel 4-0, France 7-4, and the Russians today. The team faces the strong USA squad on Monday before the playoff rounds begin.
In the junior division, Canada’s two teams face off Friday against each other, while the Israeli and American junior nationals play in the other Friday game. The teams are off Saturday before senior play resumes on Sunday with Israel facing the USA and France playing Russia.
