Canadian singer and songerwriter Leonard Cohen thrilled a packed stadium of fans tonight during his first concert in Israel in over 30 years.

The 47,000 tickets were snatched up within minutes when they went on sale, and the adoring fans were treated to quite the show.

Showing no apparent affects from an illness last week, Cohen belted out his signature tunes wearing his signature tailored suit and fedora hat.

The Canadian icon’s appearance comes on the heels of other big name performances this year in Israel, including Madonna and Lady Gaga.  Beyonce just announced plans to perform in Tel Aviv in January and U2 and Coldplay are looking to perform as well next summer.
